8h00: Following your requested time, our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Hue and we start the Hue Buddhist Tour. We will take a dragon boat to go along the Perfume River to get to Thien Mu Pagoda (Heavenly Lady Pagoda). This is one of the most ancient pagodas known as the national pagoda under the Nguyen Dynasty. On Ha Khe Hill, our local tour guide will help you with some fabulous photos, tell you how special it is in architecture, the function of each monument in this pagoda as well as the mysterious love curse. Thien Mu Pagoda was built by the Nguyen Hoang King in 1601 following the perfect Fengshui rules. From faraway, Thien Mu pagoda looks like a dragon faces its head to the Hue Imperial Citadel.
11h30: You will have vegetarian lunch at the restaurant
After lunch, our private car will drive you to the Huyen Khong Son Thuong Pagoda, a Theravada Buddhism pagoda in Hue city. Unlike other pagodas in Hue, Vietnam, Huyen Khong Son Thuong looks like a huge garden with a small river, orchid gardens hidden and nestled in the forest on the mountain foot. Enter into the pagoda, you will get lost into a different world, the world of Buddha-land. There are no worries and sadness in your mind, now, you just immerse your soul with nature, bird songs, poetic views of pristine forest, and flowers. The next place in our Hue Buddhist Tour is the Tu Hieu Root Pagoda, a very famous pagoda with the Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. This 200 years old pagoda is a Mahayana pagoda nestled in the edge of the forest on the Le Ngo Cat road, Thuy Xuan ward. Our local tour guide will tell you mysterious stories about how Tu Hieu Pagoda was built, its up and down history, how special in the spirit it is. Moreover, what makes Tu Hieu become a special and unique pagoda in Hue is it also the burial area of the Nguyen Dynasty eunuchs.
