Con Dao district is an archipelago off the coast of Ba Ria - Vung Tau. This 76-square-kilometer archipelago includes 16 islands, the largest being Con Son island. Best time to visit

From March to September is the best time to explore Con Dao. Although it is still in season, it is raining at this time, the sea is calm, the wind is small in the East and Northeast. Visitors should explore the remote island during the day, where the sun is full of yellow and the sky is blue, like the sea diving and taking pictures. In the afternoon, there are often showers, suitable for visiting the covered monuments on the big island.
July-September is the breeding season for sea turtles. The rest of the time, from October to March next year, is the windy season, the waters of Con Son Bay have big waves. However, the East-West and South-Western seas of the island are still calm without rain, can visitors change their sights to this area with equally beautiful natural scenery.

You can travel to Con Dao by airplane or by Ferry.

The plane is the most time-saving means of moving to Con Dao. Currently Bamboo Airways, flies between Hanoi and Con Dao.

Vietnam Airlines flies from Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho to Con Dao and vice versa. Each trip is about 50 minutes.

Boat

Exploring the islands by boat can be arranged through your hotel. A 12-person boat costs about 2,000,000d to 5,000,000d per day, depending on the destinations. Local fishermen also offer excursions, but make sure you bargain hard.

Rent a motorbike or bicycle

This is one of the best places in Vietnam for cycling, with little traffic, no pollution and good paved roads. There is only one main road, connecting the airport in the north with Ben Dam in the south through the town of Con Son. Most hotels rent out motorbikes for about US $ 6 to US $ 10 per day.
