Travel by coach to Phnom Chiso. It about 60 km south of Phnom Phen in Takeo province is a great looking temple area on a hill, Its Phnom Chisor. The temples are done in beautiful masonry work and some inscriptions are dated back to the 11 th century when the place was known as Suryagiri. The temples of Phnom Chisor look quite similar to the Pagodas and Temples in Bagan, central Myanmar, Burma. The panoramic view from the hill over the plains of Takeo province is a breathtaking experience.Phnom Chisor was created under King Suryavarman I. He reigned for 47 years from 1002 on. During his reign 4 major temple were built. Among them Preah Vihear in the north and Phnom Chisor in the south of today Cambodia.
Phnom Chisor was then known as Suryadri, 'the Mountain of the Sun' and due to the influence of Hinduism of that time, was dedicated to Brahma, 'the Creator of the Universe'. The buildings of Phnom Chisor are done in brick construction with sandstone lintels above the doorways and the wooden doors of the main Phnom Chisor building have rich woodcarving with some figures standing on pigs, inside are plenty of Buddha sculptures. . Lunch by picnic at the hill leg. Then re take back to Phnom Penh. En route return to Phnom Penh visit Taprohm and Yeay Peouv temple at Tonle Bati, and then visit Neang Khmau temple. Arrival Phnom Penh take the boat cruise to view sunset on Mekong River. Dinner at the city restaurant and overnight.DAY 4: PHNOM PENH - PUSAT - BATTAMBANG ( B/-/D )
After breakfast in hotel, continue by car route #5 to Udong was the capital of Cambodia from the early 17th century until 1866 when the capital was moved to Phnom Penh and stop at visiting the handicraft silver product center. Continued to Kampong Chhnang Province (91Km from PNH), and visit the handicraft of pottery village and then continues to Pursat Province (96Km from Kampong Chhnang) and Battam Bang. Overnight at Battam Bang.
DAY 5: BATTAMBANG - TOURS (B/-/D)
After breakfast city tour visit the local market and Wat Ek Phnom that is an 11th century Angkorian ruin built as a Hindu temple under Suryavarman I. The temple consist of Prasats on a platform with some carving in pretty good condition call “ Laang Phkar Sla ”. Wat Ek Phnom, a modern pagoda, sits next to the ruin. The river road to Ek Phnom from Batambang passes through some absolutely beautiful countryside. (The rural countryside outside of Battambang is National Geographic picturesque. Within just a few kilometers of town, the country side turn in to small villages filled with stilted houses and rice paddies thet stretch to the hirozen. You''ll see plenty of country side on the way to any of local produce ino the making rice paper, noodle and fish paste market. it very traditional if not a bit unhygienic and smelly )
Then visit Phnom Banan is a mountaintop, 11th century Angkorian ruin consisting of five temple. Peaceful location with a nice view of the area and also visit L’Ang But Meas cave. It is very old (150 year+) active pagoda at the base of the mountain. After that visit Phnom Sampou, A mountain, steeped in legend and topped by Wat Sampeou and a group of caves used as “ Killing Caves” by Khmer rouge, containing the skeletal remains of their victims. The wat is unexceptional but the view is spectacular. Ask about the legend of Neang Rumsay Sok. Overnight at Battam Bang.
DAY 6: BATTAMBANG - SIEM REAP “World heritage site” (B/-/D)
Breakfast in hotel, transfer to the pier and take the regular boat to Siem Reap, visit Chong Khneas and visit floating villages. Check in the hotel and refreshment then city tours and transfer to visit Bakheng hill and View sunset. DAY 7: SIEM REAP - SMALL / GRAND CIRCUIT TEMPLES (B/-/D)
In the morning you get the sightseeing spot for visiting the Small Circuit: Thommanun with some very nice walled-doors and stylized devata, Chau Say Tevoda, Takeo one of the first to be build out of sandstone, Ta Prohm invaded by the roots of giant baniyan, Banteay Kdei (Citadel of the Cells) used to be a religious monastery, Prasat Kravan with a unique bas-reliefs of bricks and Sras Srang used for ceremonies and royal baths.
After lunch, Afternoon visit Eastern Mebon used to be in the middle the waters of the large Oriental Baray that is presently filled with rice-fields, Neak Poan was supposed to be a symbol of the Universe, and Preah Khan built in 1191 according to the tradition on a spot where the king fought a crucial battle against the Cham. DAY 8 : SIEM REAP - ANGKOR "Heritage” (B/-/D)
After have nice breakfast at the hotel, Visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, the famous Bayon Temple – built by Jayavarman VII at the end of the 12th, in the exact center of the city of Angkor Thom, Baphuon , Phimean Akas, Elephants and Leper King Terraces.
Afternoon to discover Angkor Wat that is visually, architecturally and artistically breathtaking it is a massive three tiered pyramid crowned by five beehive-like tower rising 65 meter from ground level. Have a moat and exterior wall measuring 1300 x 1500 meters surround Angkor Wat. The temple it self is 1km square and consists of their levels surmounted by a central towel. The walls of the temple are covered inside and out with bas-reliefs and carving. Nearly 2000 distinctively rendered Apsara carving adorn the walls.
DAY 9: SIEM REAP - NEXT DESTINATION ( B/-/- )
After have nice breakfast at the hotel, Free at leisure and transfer to airport for flight departure to country by safety and happy.
